Automatic Bagging System for Swine Feed Pellet Packaging

The animal feed sector covers a wide mix of pelletized products, and efficient handling of these materials plays an important role in maintaining smooth bagging, sealing, and palletizing operations across the production line. Swine feed in particular requires controlled dosing, consistent bag presentation, and reliable sealing to maintain feed quality throughout storage and distribution.

This project involved a packaging line for swine feed pellets with detailed specifications for equipment size, control functions, weighing accuracy, and overall capacity. The upright conveyor and overturning conveyor had to be produced according to designated length, width, and height. The upright conveyor required a foot-pedal switch for start and stop control. The reject device had to use a pneumatic pusher. The compression conveyor needed a square-roller structure. The robotic unit had to operate with a single gripper. Line capacity had to remain within 600–800 bags per hour, and the checkweigher needed an accuracy of ±20 g. The customer also required compatibility with a Desuper GS-7C sewing head and an interface for an external inkjet coder.

Detai supplied a fully customized system based on these functional and dimensional requirements. The equipment package integrated precise weighing, stable rejection, and reliable sewing performance, ensuring consistent bag quality throughout the process. All motors were configured with SEW units to maintain stable operation and meet performance expectations. The tailored design ensured that every component aligned with the customer’s application needs while supporting accurate filling, dependable sealing, and efficient pellet handling.
